Start your visit to everything equine at EFD at this hub for horse owners! This center will feature educational and informational displays about and for the equine industry. The equine industry is a power, growth industry in the Northeast. The show continues to have a strong base of equine equipment such as trucks, trailers, tractors, skid steers, fencing, gates, feed, and so much more. The equine center is becoming a powerful source of industry information and contacts.
The Equine Center will offer an expanded program this year. There will be three short seminars geared toward current situations and emerging problems faced by horse owners including: Strangles & Herpesvirus Outbreaks, Dr. Belinda Thompson at 11 am; Nutrition for Older Horses, Dr. Skip Hintz at 12 noon; and How to Pick a Horse, Jean Griffiths at 2 pm.
Visitors will have the chance to register for great give aways in this area including a saddle and a weanling Halflinger. The NYS Haflinger Association will have a foal on display and the Empire State Quarter Horse Association will have an American Quarter Horse and her foal on site as well.
